ABOUT Ben Mizzi recognised an opportunity to supply earthmoving services to Airlie Beach, the Whitsunday and Bowen Basin region in 2010. Ben and wife Trudy created Airlie Earthworks soon after, and have been growing as a business ever since. The fleet has expanded over this time from the outset of one excavator to now five excavators and two tipper crane trucks along with a team of operational staff. Ben and Trudy have a commitment to the growth of the business and are well entrenched in the region and enjoy employing a number of residents in the area. Ben personally screens and appoints new staff to ensure they met all business requirements, including formal operational certification, as well as qualities both Trudy and Ben would like their clients to experience when working with the business.
