CCTV Systems We hear about these everyday. Councils use them to protect the streets. Casinos have them everywhere. And prisons have replaced guard towers with them. They're in taxis, shops and carparks. But are they affordable for homes and businesses? Well, the basic answer is YES!! Security Alarm Systems Security alarm systems are designed to stop intruders from taking your valuables from your home or premises. You have a main processing unit controlled by a codepad and you have movement sensors and door and window contacts placed where you need them. Glass break sensors can also be installed. Your system can be monitored by a monitoring centre for a charge each week. Monitoring can be carried out via the phone line, via the mobile phone network, via the internet or a combination of all three. Via the phone line is the cheapest but the most vulnerable. If your phone line is cut, no monitoring can take place. Via the phone network, via GSM, the the next level up but if your account has no credit on it, there is also no monitoring. You will not be notified by the monitoring centre because they will not be aware of the problem and nor will you. GPRS is the next level and while it uses the mobile phone network, you pay a fixed price included in your monitoring charge, so it is always working. Also the security panel is pulsed every few minutes as a test that the security panel is being monitored. GPRS replaced Securitel monitoring which was made obsolete a few years ago and is no longer available in Australia. The highest level of monitoring is called multipath and also uses a combination of GPRS, GSM, phone line and can also use the internet for maximum security. The higher the level of monitoring, the higher the weekly charge. We can arrange all these types of monitoring as well as servicing your system. Australian Standards states that your security system must be serviced an tested at least every 12 months. If it is not, your insurance company could elect not to cover you. Alan Bennett offers a security appraisal of your premises with recommendations as how to improve your coverage. Also, with every security check, a Certificate of Maintenance is given, which will prove to your insurance company that your security alarm system complies with Australian Standards. Alan Bennett has been in the security industry since 1986, has been trained by the major security companies, has undertaken many courses and with 26 years experience knows about nearly all security panels on the market. Public records are uneven by nature. Stronger records make operating claims easier to inspect. Thin records make the gaps obvious. Evidence beats explanation.
See methodology for how the index resolves duplicates, tiers evidence, and decides what to publish.
If this is your business, you can claim the record to add a verified contact, licence anchor, and service area.
