ABOUT Until Amazing Clean, there was no professional way to clean Venetian, vertical, timber, roller and pleated blinds in the Australian market. This unique business was created by the Kent family, which previously owned one of Australia’s leading blind-manufacturing companies. Recognising a gap in the market, research by founding director Steve Kent led him to America, where he found ultrasonic blind cleaning to be a growing industry. After studying what the Americans were doing with this process – which uses ultrasound and an appropriate cleaning solvent – Steve applied a little Aussie ingenuity and tenacity to develop a superior method. Through this, the ultimate system for cleaning blinds and awnings was born. The first Amazing Clean operation was based in Brisbane and soon others, operating under license, began to duplicate the success.
