Our services include Building Thermal Performance assessment A Building Thermal Performance Assessment also known as a House Energy Rating evaluates the thermal efficiency of a new house design. In other words, it measures the home's ability to stay naturally cool in summer and warm in winter. The Building Code of Australia (BCA) Part 2.6 is the overall regulation mandating Building Thermal Performance Assessments of residential buildings. The BCA is applicable in all states except NSW. In addition to BCA requirements, most state and territory governments have schemes which specify the thermal performance benchmarks to be achieved and the assessment procedures to be followed. you need our services as an Accredited Assessor The Building Code of Australia (BCA) requires that Local Building Approval Authorities (Building Surveyors at Local Councils) obtain evidence that a design meets the 'Performance Requirements' or 'Deemed to Satisfy Provisions' of the Energy Efficiency sections of the BCA. NSW Building Sustainability Index (BASIX) Introduced as part of the NSW planning system, BASIX - the Building Sustainability Index - is a web-based planning tool that measures the potential performance of new residential dwellings against the environmental criteria of energy, water and thermal comfort. Each development application for a residential dwelling in NSW must be submitted with a BASIX Certificate. This Certificate will be required to show how your development meets the BASIX targets for the Thermal Comfort, Energy, and Water components of the BASIX regulation.
