Furniture Design Auld Design create handcrafted bespoke furniture, teaming traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. All furniture is made from reclaimed or ethically sourced Australian timber. You can take inspiration from our collection of designer furniture, or work with us to tailor a design to fit perfectly within your space, that will last a lifetime. ABOUT US As a qualified joiner with over twenty years in the industry, it’s easy to see Jack’s passion is timber. He has extensive experience designing and producing high end handmade furniture and fitted joinery in both Australia and the UK. Working with solid timber and veneer, Jack uses traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design to create beautiful and unique pieces that will last a lifetime. When I was young we had a small side table in our hall that my Grandfather made. It had curved edge detail on top and a single drawer with perfect dovetails. My Grandfather wasn’t a furniture maker, but he put a lot of time and love into his woodworking hobby to ensure its quality. I don’t know where the side table is today, but I’m sure whoever has it adorning their hall is enjoying its timeless beauty and enduring construction. That’s what I want. My aim is to make beautiful, quality pieces of handmade furniture that will be loved for generations. - Jack Auld Strongly influenced by antique and vintage furniture that is both striking and functional, Jack seeks to bring the same timelessness and lasting quality to his work. Much of the inspiration for Jack’s furniture comes from the timber itself, with his designs based on showcasing the timber’s natural beauty. Auld Design offers a catalogue of pieces as well as bespoke fitted joinery. All pieces are personally designed, sourced and produced by Jack from beginning to end, at our workshop near Geelong. Items can be delivered to Melbourne and shipped to anywhere in Australia. Our Range Auld Design offers a wide variety of pieces (seen in our gallery), and custom design for all timber furniture including dining room tables, coffee tables, bedside furniture, bookcases, shelving, entertainment units, sideboards and bathroom units. Custom Designed Starting from an idea or a sketch, we can help develop your original concept to build a unique piece of furniture that will stand out from the crowd. All our pieces are individual and reflect the care and workmanship that goes into them. Influences We are strongly influenced by antique and vintage furniture that is both striking and functional. Much of the inspiration comes from the timber itself, with Jack’s designs based on showcasing the timber’s natural contours and beauty. Sustainable Auld Design has a philosophy of using sustainable timber, from local suppliers and collaborators. Jack works primarily with reclaimed Australian timbers, as the variation in colour and texture produces exquisite work and stands test of time. Locally Made All pieces are personally designed, sourced and handcrafted from beginning to end, at our workshop near Geelong. We typically service individual clients, architects and design professionals in the Melbourne and Geelong regions. Built To Last Our furniture is designed and built with superior craftmanship and quality timber to ensure the longevity of each piece. We use natural, non-toxic oils and polishes that bring the timber to life, and will protect your new furniture for generations to come. No state or commonwealth licence has been tied to this business in our public sources. This is common for unlicensed trades or for businesses that have not yet been resolved against a jurisdictional register.
Public records are uneven by nature. Stronger records make operating claims easier to inspect. Thin records make the gaps obvious. Evidence beats explanation.
See methodology for how the index resolves duplicates, tiers evidence, and decides what to publish.
If this is your business, you can claim the record to add a verified contact, licence anchor, and service area.
