About Us Award winning Master Builder home builder in Balmain Sydney For 25 years, Bailey the Builder has provided the Balmain peninsula & inner west area with a building & renovation service based on the credo of 'old world quality'. Efficient service goes hand-in-hand with quality of finish - a combination that has helped establish our reputation for delivering a great product in timely fashion. Colin Bailey and his team have years of experience in working on old Victorian houses as well as small to large building, extension, renovation and detailed restoration projects. Budget Control Planning your dream project can be full of excitement, but could end up in disaster if not approached in the right way. You could spend thousands of dollars on plans only to find the building quotes are well outside your budget. Architects and building designers are not builders. Some may use a cost per square metre rate that may not be appropriate, the inner metro areas can have unique, complex or hidden problems that can increase the price. From your early concept sketches, we can show you where your money gets the most value. We can also warn you of potential problems. This service costs $250 for a site visit and verbal assessment. If you have sketches or plans we can provide a building budget for $150 for the first hour then $100 thereafter. This could end up saving you thousands. When your plans are at the Application for Construction Certificate stage we can provide a fixed price for the whole job at no charge. If the quotation is accepted we will also provide a job programme so you know what we are doing when.
