ABOUT US Starting out in the industry in 2001 we soon realised there was a need for more reliable and quality concreting tradesmen so we decided to start Baxter’s Concreting to offer these traits. We are a small family owned and run business and strive to offer that personal service that is sometimes lost with the bigger companies. Nat is the face of Baxter’s Concrete, while his reliable wife Kristy keeps the behind the scenes things running smoothly, our two young boys do their best to help dad with their little wheelbarrows and shovels. SERVICES Exposed Concrete Exposed Aggregate Exposed Aggregate is concrete that has the top few millimeters of cement removed by a high pressure water washer to reveal the decorative coloured aggregates (stones) of your choice. Exposed Aggregate can be poured to an almost endless array of shapes and colours depending on the look you would like to achieve with your project, and with a non-slip textured finish it is ideal for outdoor areas like driveways, pathways, entertaining areas and pool surrounds. Hones Concrete Honed Concrete is concrete that has a grinding machine (honer) grind away the top few millimeters of concrete to reveal the underlying aggregates. Honed concrete has the smooth look of polished concrete but with a semi non-slip finish, it can be used around pools, entertaining areas and driveways. Polished Concrete Just like honed, polished concrete is machined with a honer. By using gradually finer and finer grinding stones we can create a smooth sleek finish that would look great for any area of your house or even for your enclosed entertaining areas. Liquid Limestone Liquid Limestone or Poured Limestone is made of crushed limestone, sand, cement and water. Liquid Limestone can add the natural look to your project and can be laid to almost any shape and colour you can imagine, you can add different colour boarders to enhance your entertaining area, pool area or driveway. You may even chose to have timber decking, granite cobblestone or paving brick inlays to add that individual mark. Coloured Concrete Coloured Concrete is concrete that has a high strength coloured iron oxide of your choice added to it while mixing in the concrete truck. Coloured concrete can be finished with a non-slip finish and once sealed with an accrylic sealer to bring out the richness of the oxide it can compliment your existing colour scheme or can be the start of a new colour scheme. Maintenance Baxter’s Concrete also offers a ‘clean and seal’ service. To keep your exposed concrete, liquid limestone or coloured concrete areas looking new it should be high pressure washed and sealed with an acrylic sealer once a year.
