Customer self-maintenance tips: To have the Air Conditioner operate correctly, efficiently and quietly, you must: Clean the filter: It does not matter if your Air Conditioner is big or small. You must always clean the filter at least once a month. Do not cover the outdoor unit or block the fan of the outdoor unit: The outdoor unit should have good ventilation; it is designed to be in the open. You can clean it with a garden hose if it is dirty. Make sure to operate the system utilising the correct function: The Air Conditioning system is doing only what you tell it to do. It will not give you warm air if it is operating on the cooling function and vice-versa. Set it on the heating function when you want warm air (generally a sun symbol) and on the cooling function when you want cold air (generally a snowflake symbol).
