After completing my apprenticeship in Tasmania, I came to Melbourne to seek a challenge, and thus, became a construction Painter on commercial building sites. Having impressed enough people [being only 23], I was thrown in the deep end. My superiors then told me to organise the painting of the M.C.G Southern stand. It took 7 months to complete. My experience went further by completing several other large projects within the Melbourne metro area. Dealing with Architects, Project Managers and Civil Engineers on many projects over a span of 15 years, I found that completing my usual high standard of finishes was difficult due to cost cutting (cutting corners) of Builders and Company Directors. There was only one thing to do. I will bring my talents in decorating directly to the client, giving them what they want, when they want, with the quality they expect!
