Welcome to C & E Critharis Constructions Pty Ltd C & E Critharis Constructions Pty Ltd is a family owned company that has been building high quality residential and commercial projects in Sydney for the past thirty years. We are service-oriented building contractors, working closely with our clients, architects and designers to fulfil their goals and maintain our high standard of finished project. As experienced professionals and members of the MBA and HIA, we employ trades people of the highest calibre to achieve the high level of finish and quality for which we are known. We pride ourselves on personalised and efficient project management, having the resources and expertise to finish on time and to budget. We have a reputation for honesty and reliability and are proud to have our architects and clients re-employing us and recommending us to their associates for their new projects. About Us Con and Elia Critharis have built a successful business by being honest and reliable tradesmen who have maintained good working relationships with their clients, architects, designers, and trades people. They are driven by a desire to provide high quality luxury homes that their clients will love to live in. The attention to detail and quality of finish is maintained by supervising each project personally and by employing experienced trades people with whom they have had long term working relationships. Every person contributing to the construction of these exceptional homes is professional and hardworking. Con and Elia and their team take pride in the quality of their work and this has been recognised by the Master Builders Association and by many happy clients and their architects. Testimonials Kambala Rd, Bellevue Hill "We would like to commend C & E Critharis on their professional, courteous and efficient manner in which they constructed our home in Bellevue Hill. It was evident from the start that we had selected one of the best general contractors, as they were able to immediately demonstrate their expertise knowledge and 3 decades of experience in building quality homes in Sydney. The project was well planned, organised and executed. The team worked well together and, most importantly, communicated well with each other and with us. We would like to especially mention Con Critharis and his crew and Anna Antoniades, Bruce Stafford Architects, for their commitment and dedication to creating a quality home for us. We are delighted that our home has won the 2009 Master Builders Association's Excellence Award as this further reconfirms the quality of the design and construction. We wish them well in future projects and, from our personal experience, commend them to all potential clients. If you would like us to expand on this testimony, please do not hesitate to contact us through Con or Elia." Lorraine Ng Home Owner Parsley Road, Vaucluse "We are a boutique architectural practice that specialises in high-end luxury home architecture, operating in the eastern and northern suburbs of Sydney. Our firm first engaged C & E Critharis Constructions to construct a unique $2 million resort style home in Parsley Road, Parsley Bay. This project was Bruce Stafford and Associates first project in Sydney. Elia Critharis not only provided great technical support, he project managed the project and provided all cost control. The project was complex due to its unique design and steep sloping site and Elia completed the project ahead of time and on budget. The site had difficult access and Elia was skilful with his negotiations with neighbours for access. Our clients emigrated soon after completion and the house was sold for a record price, which is testimony to Elia's quality of workmanship. C & E Critharis Constructions built a further two major homes in Bellevue Hill from 2004 to 2008 for our firm. Con Critharis handled these two projects. Both homes have basements that involved extensive excavations and difficult site access conditions. Both these projects were won by tender and were 'fixed price, lump sum' projects. Both projects were completed on time and within budget. One of the projects was the subject of a major increase in scope during the construction period and Con managed to accelerate the project schedule to accommodate the increase in scope. Early this year, Elia and Con completed homes for our firm in Vaucluse and Bellevue Hill, bringing the number of projects completed for Bruce Stafford and Associates to five. Elia and Con have been a pleasure to work with. Both have exemplary standards in construction and management. Every project faces challenges during construction and we have found Elia and Con to be supportive, honest and always looking for solutions. The test of any project is a happy client and I am pleased to say that in all the projects we have worked with C & E Critharis, our client has been satisfied with the construction outcome and has recommended them to other clients for further work. We wish C & E Critharis every success in future and look forward to many more years working together." Bruce Stafford Director Bruce Stafford and Associates Architects Wentworth Road, Vaucluse "I have known and worked with Elia Critharis for over ten years, and during that period he has completed a number of houses which we designed and administered the building contract. His work has always been of the highest standard and his cooperation unparalleled. He has always shown a remarkable ability to relate and cooperate with all that are involved on the building site. He has managed to keep to established time scales and within the budget parameters. He has always maintained an extremely good relationship with clients and has always been available to deal with problems that inevitably occur, no matter how long the job has been completed. On our last project together Elia won the award for the Best House over $5 million in NSW, given by the Master Builders Association. Elia Critharis, who supervised the job, was always accommodating, despite the plans changing several times, and in general made the experience of building/renovating bearable and in fact enjoyable. If there is any further information you would like on Mr Elia Critharis, the writer can be contacted on 0414 266618." D.R. Walker D. Walker & Partners Pty Ltd Architects Cooper Park Road "C & E Critharis Constructions Pty Ltd was recommended to us by our architects, Bruce Stafford & Associates of Double Bay, and their quote was competitive. Their clients spoke highly of their work. We enjoyed a good relationship throughout the construction of our 400 sq.m. house and the tradesmen were all of a high standard. Although we have been in the house for some months, they still call by to make the inevitable adjustments. We have no hesitation in recommending them to others." John & Sandra Lance Homeowners Old South Head Road, Vaucluse "Our practice designs mostly new homes in the eastern suburbs. A lot of thought and energy goes into the design process and detailing is a strong element in the architectural intent of any building. To work with a builder that understands and is proactive in achieving what the Architect intended is vital to the end result. We value their partnering approach and enjoy working together as a close-knit team. Elia and Con always seek to solve problems in the spirit of the design. The end result is the success we had all hoped for, because they take time to do things properly and without compromise. Our most recent collaboration at Derby Street, Vaucluse is architecturally complex and they have worked closely with us to achieve a fine result. We have also completed several other projects over a 15 year period with Critharis Constructions and look forward to continue working with them in the future."
