Conservation/Preservation Framing: Most artwork is subject to degradation unless it is properly cared for. Air-borne pollutants, acid and lignum migration and incorrect framing or storage methods are the major cause of damage. Over many years we have investigated the diverse techniques and materials for preservation of different types of art. Traditional hingeing, using mulberry paper and starch paste, and hand-stitching are standard practice at Creative Framing. We carry a full range of UV absorbing glazing materials and a complete range of archival matboard including fabrics, metals and special textures. With our expert advice and framing your artwork will give many, many years of aesthetic pleasure.
