Replace the sarking on the old framework, where necessary. Install grid of clips to hold the new tiles in place. Place new tiles in overlapping layers. Lay new ridge capping which is then bedded (mortared into place) and pointed (waterproofed and finished) with flexible Ridgebond to make a watertight and weatherproof seal. Re-Pointing Regular maintenance of your tile roof is essential if your house is to remain watertight and your belongings protected. Every five years or so you will need to have the capping tiles that sit along the ridge top and the hips that cover the sides/comers “bedded” (remortared into place) and “pointed”.(waterproofed and finished with a flexible sealing product called Ridgebond).
