Profile Jake Green's furniture making journey began 25 years ago. After training in traditional furniture making and upholstery and owning his own business in the UK, he settled in Australia bringing with him valuable skills and craftmanship. Now, his focus is to create contemporary pieces blending new technologies and products with time-honoured techniques and materials from the past. Jake is committed to producing high quality, long lasting pieces. He believes a beautiful piece of furniture is dignified by the maker's attention to small and unassuming details. Each piece tells its own story. In collaboration with leading Australian furniture designers he has produced award winning and innovative upholstered furniture for exhibitions, commercial fit-outs and individual clients. Johan Larsson's aesthetic is a unique melding of design strengths. Drawing on his Swedish heritage, influences from time spent in Japan and the freedom of the Australian lifestyle his designs have a recognisable integrity and identity. A graduate from the highly respected furniture course at the Australian National University under George Ingham, Johan formed his own company Johan Larsson Design in 2000. He has exhibited at Salon Satelite in Milan, was a finalist in the 2004 Bombay Sapphire Design Discovery Award and was listed by Wallpaper Magazine as one of the top 10 upcoming designers to look out for. Johan is well known for his SU1 shelving system which was awarded the 2002 DesignEx furniture award. Johan collaborated with Jake on the production of Earnest as a re-entry into product based furniture design.
No state or commonwealth licence has been tied to this business in our public sources. This is common for unlicensed trades or for businesses that have not yet been resolved against a jurisdictional register.
Public records are uneven by nature. Stronger records make operating claims easier to inspect. Thin records make the gaps obvious. Evidence beats explanation.
See methodology for how the index resolves duplicates, tiers evidence, and decides what to publish.
If this is your business, you can claim the record to add a verified contact, licence anchor, and service area.
