About Us Finescape was incorporated in 1997. This followed a four-year landscape gardening apprenticeship completed by principal and director, David Smith. Finescape has a policy of training all staff in apprenticeship from scratch. Our apprentices travel to Melbourne to train with the best teachers in the state. This ensures that the high standards that we aspire to are maintained. To date we have trained 6 apprentices, who continue to develop their skills in a diverse range of settings. We have undertaken many and varied works for a wide range of clients. We enjoy ongoing relationships with many of these clients as their gardens continue to flourish. We design new gardens, rework existing gardens and provide consultancy for gardeners of all levels . We can provide technical support and planning for people who are active gardeners but lack the experience to coordinate the various aspects of a job such as drainage, irrigation and construction of walls, paving and water features. We can provide expert supervision for an hour, a day or carry out the whole project on your behalf. We do have many clients that carry out the manual side of things. We are happy to set these warriors on their path, coming in once a week or month to provide professional finish to their preparation. When we are first contacted to carry out intended works, our first task is to listen to you . A garden is a very personal thing and every person has unique experiences that influence the design. The dynamics of the family and intended use of the garden determine the style and structure of what we design. We hope every client will allow us to run with their theme a little, and through prior experience bring a design to the table that solves the problems of the site in an attractive, affordable and enduring fashion. Many hours go into the selection and suitability of plants and hard landscape materials to ensure a landscape that improves with the patina of age. A feeling of serenity at home. The link of nature to the house in a simple way appeals to me greatly. I love to create a deception in the landscape to make entering the garden for the first time a thrill, not being sure where the garden finishes. Hiding the links with suburbia to create a space that makes you forget time and feel that you are on holidays In your own home.
No state or commonwealth licence has been tied to this business in our public sources. This is common for unlicensed trades or for businesses that have not yet been resolved against a jurisdictional register.
Public records are uneven by nature. Stronger records make operating claims easier to inspect. Thin records make the gaps obvious. Evidence beats explanation.
See methodology for how the index resolves duplicates, tiers evidence, and decides what to publish.
If this is your business, you can claim the record to add a verified contact, licence anchor, and service area.
