ABOUT Commencing a unique apprenticeship at a young age as a Boat Builder in Williamstown, for a builder who owned a company called Timber Works. This company specialised in building and restoring wooden boats, cabinet making, carpentry and joinery. Having grown up on a farm, from a young age I was always with my Dad and older brothers either in the workshop creating and building or out fencing. At the age of 23 I restored and renovated an old barn, where the shearers had slept 50 years prior, creating a modern Bed and Breakfast for guests to sleep in. I finished my apprenticeship in Tasmania with the owner of Timber Works, as he moved his company from Williamstown to Swansea, Tasmania. I continued my journey of perfecting my craft by milling timber and building boats, shearing sheds and homes in Swansea and the surrounding districts. On my return I was working as a sole trader on domestic building sites. Then moving onto assisting an owner builder with a Harkaway home and continuing on my side projects. I then started Fresh Look Projects bringing quality workmanship to all of my customers with my team of fully qualified carpenters that work solely for me.
