ABOUT US FOR AS LONG AS I CAN RECALL, I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED INTERIORS, TEXTILES, COLOUR AND ART. I HAVE A PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY OF THE TEXTILES AND SURROUNDINGS I GREW UP WITH. From an early age, I would draw floor plans and loved to catch glimpses into lounge rooms when driving past in evenings. I took delight dusting the house on a Saturday morning, simply to re-style Mum and Dads’ dressing table or lounge room wall unit. My Dad being a Painter and Decorator exposed me to a world of paint colours, perfectionist craftsmanship and strong work ethic. WORK JOURNEY After completing an Associate Diploma of Interior Design & Decoration in 1995, I began my career with various Melbourne Interior Designers and Mentors in the soft furnishing industry – dealing with most inspiring textiles and wallpapers from all over the world. Following this, I worked for a boutique Melbourne builder, furnishing over 40 display homes and assisting hundreds of clients to make selections of finishes for their dream homes. In 2003 I began self employment and continued assisting many clients with their varied projects, and in 2016 moved my practice into a fabulous studio space in Watsonia. MY ROLE IN YOUR PROJECT! The profile of Interior Design has changed enormously in my time in the industry. By far the biggest change is that there are so many trends and so many choices. It’s my job to sift through and match the right products and colours to the client. This I judge by your brief, perhaps the colours you like, sometimes just designer’s intuition. Existing furnishings and fixings are carefully considered. NEW BUILD / RENOVATION SELECTIONS Advice on product choices, layout of rooms and colours of materials required for the build. Interior and Exterior areas. Full material specifications are provided. FURNISHING AND DECORATION Window coverings, rugs, soft furnishings, furniture, lighting, artwork – all the finishing touches. Any goods available for purchase are quoted in full including labour/installation/delivery where required. PROPERTY STYLING Advice on presenting your property. Can include furniture hire where required. Furniture hire on application.
