BACKGROUND Hello, I’m Kate Hewish, Landscape Designer based in Samford, Brisbane. I come from a long line of green thumbs… from farmers to enthusiastic gardeners. Born and raised in central-western NSW, my childhood years were spent in our rural family home where a love of the outdoors and a fascination for birds and nature went hand in hand with life on the land. I studied agriculture at school and was involved with my family’s agricultural businesses from an early age. After studying for a business degree, I was looking for something different and headed to the UK to work as a communications consultant in London’s financial district. Life in a big city was exciting and I was lucky enough to be able to indulge my love of gardens, spending any spare time I could muster travelling to visit some of the best in the world. After returning to Australia and establishing our own house and gardens, it was obvious where my heart was and I went back to college to study landscape design and horticulture. That was one of the best decisions of my life. Working with my clients as a residential landscape designer to bring their dream gardens to life is a true honour and I am lucky to have found my calling. The process of coming up with a design concept, with the right plants that are going to transform a space still gives me chills. There’s no feeling quite like it. Whether you are on acreage, on a coastal property with sea breezes or a stunning Queenslander or a brilliantly modern home, I can help you to create the garden of your dreams. I work with clients across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, the Gold Coast and greater South-East Queensland. SERVICES Each garden that I design and create is unique because it holds a little piece of its owner. I design with you in mind. Whether it’s over the phone or in your home, I take the time to ask the right questions to enable me to truly get to know you and your preferred aesthetic. Whatever your situation, one thing is guaranteed - I will be as excited about your landscape design project as you are. The first step is to meet at your property to discuss your ideas, practical requirements and your wants and needs. In essence, what would you most like to get out of your dream space? After a thorough site analysis and we have agreed on the brief, I will then begin drawing up an initial concept plan, bringing together all the elements that we’ve talked about. We then discuss and make any necessary changes, because this is a journey and I always make sure my clients are comfortable with the final design before we close it out. Once you are happy - and already picturing yourself sipping lemonade under the picturesque bougainvillea archway - I will then draw up the final concept plan for you. If you would like more detail and support, further plans such as construction plans and specific planting plans are also available on request. Once you are ready to go with your landscape design, I can source plants, hardscape materials, lighting, decorative features and furniture and pots - the icing on the cake. 𓆸 Landscape Design Consultation 𓆸 Site Analysis 𓆸 Concept Development 𓆸 Horticultural Plans 𓆸 Horticultural Consultation 𓆸 Landscape Project Management (timetable, budget & installation) 𓆸 Product & Material Sourcing (plants, hardscape materials, lighting, decorative features & furniture) 𓆸 Styling of outdoor spaces

Public records are uneven by nature. Stronger records make operating claims easier to inspect. Thin records make the gaps obvious. Evidence beats explanation.
