Started as a construction worker he participated in a construction of Olympic Village for the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, then in construction of the biggest Cardiology Center in Europe implementing new and modern European finishes. When in 1992 Ian immigrated to Sydney, he worked for large companies like Barclay Mowlem Construction and for a small family business, but he always dreamt of creating his own business where he could use his knowledge and skills.
