About Us InEx Lifestyle Design is a small company based in the Yarra Valley in the outer east of Melbourne. We service all parts of Melbourne and our focus is on the domestic housing market (new and existing). The owners are Phil and Samantha Crockett. Samantha has a background in finance and some design experience. My background is in plant science. After 8 years of university, a PhD in plant molecular biology and a couple of years working with cotton I decided I wanted a more hands on career and took on an adult apprenticeship in Landscaping. After 10 years working for two different landscaping companies I decided to start my own business and start providing my own service. The creative nature and broad variety of landscaping is what attracted me to the trade and above all else the reward of customer satisfaction. I work to the mantra “quality over capital”. Phil Crockett Design To me the essence of design is to use my practical experience and knowledge to meet a client brief. This requires consideration of the client’s budget, tastes, and practical requirements. Most clients have a concept plan in their mind and my task is to turn that concept into a working plan. InEx Lifestyle Design offers affordable and practical designs that you can use to, create your own landscape, utilise InEx Lifestyle Design to construct the landscape or seek your own contractor. Construction Over 10 years in the landscaping trade has provided me with experience in all aspects of landscaping. With experience ranging from small cleanup jobs, complete house landscapes, to large scale commercial landscapes, InEx Lifestyle Design is able to offer a complete package for your landscaping requirements. This includes retaining (walls and rock) decks, paving, planting, irrigation and turfing. With many contacts in associated trades InEx Lifestyle Design is also able to provide other services such as finished concrete, pergolas and outdoor kitchens. DIY Consulting Do It Yourself consulting is an additional service InEx Lifestyle Design offers. This service enables the client to create their own landscape under the guidance of someone with the relevant experience. Many clients have the ability to do at least some components of the work required to complete a landscape job. This service allows the client to utilise a qualified tradesman to work with them until they are comfortable in completing the job. This is a budget friendly option as it reduces the overall labour cost involved in creating a landscape. For Sale Makeovers This service is targeted towards, but not exclusive to, houses that are going to be put on the market. InEx Lifestyle Design will provide a clean and present service. The aim is to achieve maximum impact for minimum budget. This service involves a general cleanup of existing pathways, plants and lawns. It may provide for the supply and installation of additional plants, a few stepping stones, some edging, and usually some fresh mulch for the gardens. Whilst geared toward “for sale” properties it is also a great service for a spring clean in the garden, or in preparation for an occasion, or simply because you have been too busy to get out in the garden.
