The easiest way to ensure that your electrical appliances are safe (and to minimize the risk of electric shock) is to utilize the professional services of Jim’s Test & Tag. To discharge your duty of care you are required to reduce the risk of electrical shock as far as practicable. Regular electrical testing and electrical tagging is the most effective means of ensuring all your workplace electrical appliances are safe. If you’re not sure what electrical appliances are in your workplace, take a look around and consider all your tools, leads and appliances and you’ll be surprised by how many electrical appliances you and your employees come into contact with every single day. Our Services At Jim’s Test & Tag, we undertake a visual inspection of all your appliances first, to identify any obvious problems. We then test all of your appliances with a Portable Appliance Tester (P.A.T) with pre-set tolerances, which ensures the integrity in our process. If the appliance passes the electrical testing process, it is then fitted with a durable, non-reusable tag. If it fails any stage of electrical tagging, the technician will consult with the client as to the process needed to repair or dispose of the appliance. Once we have tested and tagged all of your electrical appliances, you can rest assured that you have done all you can to minimise any electrical shock risks in your workplace. The client is provided with a computer generated log book and asset register, detailing the appliances tested and the results of the tests undertaken. The asset register also records the make, model and serial number of the appliance during the electrical testing process. In the workplace, we can test safety switches (RCD ’s), fire extinguishers, fire blankets and hose reels along with smoke alarms, while microwave ovens can be tested on request for radiation leakage and power output. We can also test safety switches, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, fire blankets and microwave ovens for the domestic market. The frequency of electrical testing is based on the minimum requirements as per Australian/New Zealand Standards and how hostile the environment is. To help you determine the appropriate frequencies, your technician can also perform an electrical risk assessment. Our Services A visual inspection is performed to identify any obvious problems. Electrical tests are performed on a Seaward Supernova with pre-set tolerances, thus ensuring integrity in our process. A computer generated log book and asset register is provided - if we do not do the test we cannot provide a tag. Microwave ovens can be tested on request for radiation leakage and power output. Safety switch and microwave oven testing is also performed for the domestic market. No state or commonwealth licence has been tied to this business in our public sources. This is common for unlicensed trades or for businesses that have not yet been resolved against a jurisdictional register.
Public records are uneven by nature. Stronger records make operating claims easier to inspect. Thin records make the gaps obvious. Evidence beats explanation.
See methodology for how the index resolves duplicates, tiers evidence, and decides what to publish.
If this is your business, you can claim the record to add a verified contact, licence anchor, and service area.
