Concrete Pavers or Clay Pavers Advantages to clay paving are that they don’t require sealing, are hard wearing and have a high level of stain resistance. Concrete pavers are made from concrete, with colour added and sealing is normally recommended. They are generally cheaper, there is a large selection available of sizes and colours, and often manufactured locally. Retaining Walls Two of the most important factors when constructing retaining walls of any description are the footing design and making provision for drainage. Excavate sites and set up drain pipes and sumps. Set up formwork and steel reinforcing mesh. Place, level and finish off concrete. Cut expansion joints in the slabs with the concrete saw.
