Undertaking a virtual tour of your house on television is an advantage in a number of ways: • you save time because you can see what your choices look like, and make changes there and then if you prefer something else • you can see what goes well together • you don’t need to have as many meetings with your architect, cutting the timeframe for designing your home and saving you money. A bonus is that you can download a free app that enables you to see the 3D tour of your new house when you’re at home. Principal designer of Modarch, Hooman Ehsani, said people found this really handy. ‘We’re all leading busy lives so it’s often not possible for both partners to find the time to come into the studio. This way, they can look at their 3D plans at home and discuss it with their broader family and friends. This helps them to arrive at a better outcome.’ Using 3D technology is just one of the advantages of using Modarch as your designer. A big cause of stress when building your own home is finding a builder you can rely on. No need to worry when you use Modarch as your designer. They only seek quotes from builders and quantity surveyors selected for their quality workmanship and high standards. Of course, if you have a preferred builder you know and trust, Modarch will happily work with them as well. And while Modarch focuses on helping you to resolve the big issues, nothing is overlooked. Everything from large issues to the smallest of concerns benefits from the Modarch touch. ‘We find this works best for both our clients and their budgets,’ Hooman said. And the good news is Modarch does not just focus on custom-built homes. In fact, they cater to homes across all price ranges and sizes, from small to very large. And the abilities of the company are now starting to be recognised nationally. One of its designs was awarded Custom Home of the Year under $300,000 in the 2012 Master Builders Association of Australia awards.
