Our story began in 1985 when Paul Sacco (Director) imported his first consignment of handwoven rugs while travelling through Pakistan where he served as Physician for the Australian national under-19 cricket team. Paul's love and knowledge of traditional rugs grew. Between travelling and establishing relationships with international dealers, our parent company, Industrial Mercantile Services Corp was formed and began importing regular shipments of authentic handwoven rugs from around the world. Since 1993, we have imported and sold over 500,000 unique and authentic rugs to more than 30,000 customers Australia wide.
No state or commonwealth licence has been tied to this business in our public sources. This is common for unlicensed trades or for businesses that have not yet been resolved against a jurisdictional register.
Public records are uneven by nature. Stronger records make operating claims easier to inspect. Thin records make the gaps obvious. Evidence beats explanation.
See methodology for how the index resolves duplicates, tiers evidence, and decides what to publish.
If this is your business, you can claim the record to add a verified contact, licence anchor, and service area.
