PEACE OF MIND At Reality Check we offer inspections and detailed reports for your home purchase and pool safety certification for your peace of mind. These reports are intended to give you enough knowledge of the property for you to make a sound and educated decision and may even give you some bargaining power with the purchase of the property. Major defects will be itemised and photographed and comment will be made on the overall condition of the property. The report will also include areas outside the main structure such as general site drainage, outbuildings etc. We will send you our Terms of Engagement which has details of areas covered by the inspection and for you to sign, should you wish to engage us. The building report will be in a format that is easy to read even though they are commonly over 10 pages long. It will include a summary and conclusion for quick reference. We offer verbal information relating to the inspection either on site after the inspection if the client is in attendance, or otherwise by telephone at the client’s convenience. We are fully insured, licensed as Building and Pool Safety Inspectors, licensed Builders with the Building Services Authority and Members of the Master Builders Association. We offer reports within 24 hours of the inspection as we know that time can be critical in the purchase of a property. All our inspections and reports are done to the Australian Standard for Property Inspections – AS.4349.1-2007. We offer two building inspectors at no extra charge should timing be an issue. This also facilitates the coordination of getting inspectors, agents, clients and vendors on site for less time and as they say – “two sets of eyes are better than one”. POOL INSPECTIONS The new POOL SAFETY REGULATIONS ( under Plumbing and Building) – Click Here, now mean that everyone must have their pool registered by 4th November 2011 , link- Click Here, and have a Pool Safety Certificate issued if the property is for sale or for lease. Note: All Pools must be compliant with the new regulations by November 30, 2015 We offer prompt pool safety inspections and we are also licenced to carry out minor repairs, which can usually be done the same day, should they be necessary. We are happy for you to carry out repairs or organise a separate contractor to carry out repairs should you wish to do so. Our in house inspectors are experienced within the building industry, and as such, can offer cost effective solutions to any non compliant issue that might surface. All our licensed pool inspectors are partners in the business. PEST INSPECTIONS We are affiliated with a reputable pest eradication and inspection firm.link-www.termitetech.com.au. If you wish to engage a different pest inspection firm, we are happy to co-ordinate our inspection with them. We offer a totally separate pest inspection that is coordinated with the building inspection. Having both inspections done simultaneously means you will get both reports within 24 hours of the inspection . By using an independent pest control firm, we believe that you will get a more independent, concise and detailed pest report. BUILDING SERVICES We are quality builders and offer our services for new house construction as well as additions, renovations, decks etc. We have constructed many new homes of contemporary design as well as “Queenslander” style homes and also town house complexes within the Brisbane area.
