OUR STORY Smallwood Stone provides a professional, reliable and honest service completing high quality work with careful attention to detail. We are passionate about working with stone and believe it shows in the fine work we produce. Ian Smallwood began working in stonemasonry in 2002 and has experience in a wide variety of masonry styles. Ian's style is created using traditional masonry handtools which gives an organic, long-lasting finsh to his work. Our masonry styles include: Drystack/Drylay - Creates solid stone walls and structures which are stacked without visbile mortar joints. Raked joint - The mortar joint is raked back to outline the stone and give depth and shadow to the surface of the structure. The joint thickness can range from 5mm-30mm. Pointed/Bagged - A traditional style where the mortar spaces between the layed stone are pointed or bagged before being brushed until the joint is flush with the stone. Pillow-faced block - Limestone blocks with chiselled edges to give a pillowed effect, layed in a coursed fashion. Stone-cladding - A pre-fabricated or natural stone product used as a stone veneer over existing masonry. No state or commonwealth licence has been tied to this business in our public sources. This is common for unlicensed trades or for businesses that have not yet been resolved against a jurisdictional register.
Public records are uneven by nature. Stronger records make operating claims easier to inspect. Thin records make the gaps obvious. Evidence beats explanation.
See methodology for how the index resolves duplicates, tiers evidence, and decides what to publish.
If this is your business, you can claim the record to add a verified contact, licence anchor, and service area.
