ABOUT US Southern Downs Drilling is a family owned and operated business based on the Darling Downs in Queensland. Currently operated by the McCartin family, SDD started in the early 1970’s as a drilling rig manufacturing business based in Dalby. For many years, the business sold custom made rigs across Australia. In the early 2000’s Southern Downs Drilling evolved into its current form making quality water bores for farmers and small acreage property owners. Southern Downs Drilling is fully licenced (Class 2 driller) and holds the required liability insurances. All bores are constructed in accordance with Queensland Department of Natural Resources and Mines standards. With over 40 years of technical expertise behind them, the team at Southern Downs Drilling can deliver on your water bore needs cost effectively and on-time. Today, Travis and his team travel Southern Queensland from their base in Toowoomba to deliver a quality and reliable service . OUR SERVICES Water Well Drilling – Southern Downs Drilling are able to drill a new bore, cased and capped in accordance with Department of Natural Resources and Mines regulations. The customer then arranges for their plumber and electrician to install a pump and pipes from the capped well to the residence, trough and/or farm buildings.
