With a background in the building industry and running our business Adelaide Hills Building Materials for more than a decade, we were amazed at the properties of uPVC and how perfect it was for bifold doors. We had previously had timber bifold doors and were aware of the issues associated with timber doors including on-going maintenance and expansion of the timber with the weather. We loved the uPVC product so much we decided to go into business with the product confident that once people knew that this product was not only stylish, but cost effective and easy to install they would choose uPVC bifold doors and windows over any other material. Why Choose a uPVC Bifold door or window? Our uPVC bifold doors are made from uPVC which stands for unplasticised polyvinyl chloride. This material has amazing properties which are perfect for doors and windows. You are probably familiar with the term PVC through seeing it used widely in pipes to floor coverings, electrical cords and a million other uses. In Australia, the use of PVC for doors and windows is relatively new compared to the more common choices of timber and aluminum. According to the Vinyl Council of Australia, about 40 per cent of all window and doors in Europe are made from PVC. This is due to the durability of PVC, low maintenance, design flexibility and competitive prices. Comparatively, traditional aluminum frames conduct both heat and cold reducing thermal efficiency. And whilst timber frames are good insulators, they weather and can warp, shrink and expand requiring a lot of maintenance. As you will see – doors made from uPVC are superior due to their thermal properties, low maintenance and competitive costs.
No state or commonwealth licence has been tied to this business in our public sources. This is common for unlicensed trades or for businesses that have not yet been resolved against a jurisdictional register.
Public records are uneven by nature. Stronger records make operating claims easier to inspect. Thin records make the gaps obvious. Evidence beats explanation.
See methodology for how the index resolves duplicates, tiers evidence, and decides what to publish.
