Kikuyu Kikuyu grass is suitable for both domestic and commercial use. This variety grows vigorously during the summer months and becomes dormant over winter yet retains its colour throughout the year if not heavily frost affected. Kikuyu is favoured for its quick establishment and growth rate. This lawn grows faster than any other lawn grass and as a result is most suited to large open expanses, sports fields etc., where mowing, invasion of gardens or shade is not an issue. This variety forms a dense mat with a deep root system which is suitable for erosion prone areas and makes it hard to kill. Lawn Installation Let the Turf Farm help you lay the perfect lawn. What aspects should you consider before planting your turf? Is your lawn area in sun or shade? Do you have kids? Do you want a low allergy lawn? Do you have pets? Is it a high traffic area? What is the purpose of my lawn? How are you going to irrigate the lawn? Pop up, sub surface, sprinkler? What is the topography of the site? Is it sloping? Will water runoff it? What is your soil type? Sandy, clay or loam? Is the soil compacted or water repellent? What design elements do you need to take into consideration? Garden, clothesline? What other outdoor living space do I have? Pergolas, seats, barbeques, pool? Visual aspects? How does it look from the door or the street? What is our climate like? Soil Type Most turf varieties prefer a light sandy soil type. You may need to remove soil or bring in soil to mix with your soil. Gypsum applied at 1kg per M2 is recommended where there is clay subsoil, topped with 20cm of a good top soil from your landscaper. No state or commonwealth licence has been tied to this business in our public sources. This is common for unlicensed trades or for businesses that have not yet been resolved against a jurisdictional register.
Public records are uneven by nature. Stronger records make operating claims easier to inspect. Thin records make the gaps obvious. Evidence beats explanation.
See methodology for how the index resolves duplicates, tiers evidence, and decides what to publish.
