THE TC TIMELINE 2010 Tile City opens its 5th retail showroom and warehouse in the growth corridor of Ipswich. With a 450sqm showroom Tile City is the largest tile store in the region. 2008 Tile City celebrates 25 years of operation. 2007 Tile City Strathpine moves to its new premises at 19 Kremzow Rd, Strathpine. 2006 Tile City acquires a site for a new showroom and warehouse in Strathpine. 2001 Tile City Burleigh moves to its current location at 7 Kortum Drive, Burleigh Heads. 1998 Tile City Browns Plains relocates to its current location at 56 Johnson Rd, Browns Plains. 1994 Tile City relocates its operations from Woolloongabba into company owned premises at 27 Babarra St, Stafford. The property is a 1Ha (10,000sqm) site with a large showroom and 4000sqm of attached warehousing. 1989 Tile City Burleigh Heads opens from a showroom on West Burleigh Rd. This site was subsequently redeveloped and is now a BP service station. 1986 Tile City Browns Plains opens. 1984 Tile City expanded with the addition of a retail showroom and warehouse at South Pine Rd, Strathpine. Tile City was the first retail tile shop to open in this area. 1983 Tile City commenced operations with a single store in Woolloongabba.
