TRENDY RUGS is managed by Shamit Paul, who is professionally trained in both the manufacturing of Rugs and company management. TRENDY RUGS though new in Australia, it's backbone is the Manufacturing support of M/s. S.Paul, which is based in Varanasi, India; the carpet hub of the country. The company, established in 1978, is a family run, professionally managed, manufacturing establishment. The company was making the traditional Persian designs , then around the year 2000 it felt the need for 'something different' and after experimenting for over a year with different blends of wool ,colors and designs and with the able guidance of an internationally known rug specialist, Late Mr. Jose Lledo (Commercial Lledo Mas- Spain) , we came out with the special range of KASHGULI Carpets, in handspun wool, blended as per requirement of the design & quality, and again, a different look & blend of handspun wool for Contemporary designs. In 2003 the company was joined by Mr. Shantanu Paul, who has a keen interest and ability in carpet designing, and thus added a wider range to the existing designs .With the main focus on contemporary and modern designs in high quality. After having taken training and studying Vegetable Dyeing of Wool - took to producing Rugs in Vegetable & Natural Dyes which has a good demand and well received. It is Exporting to major importers in Germany, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Austria, U.K. and the USA, having recently added Australia and the Eastern Block to the list. In the US the company is supplying to some of the major Importers adding to "their collection with it's range of exclusive designs". The company endeavours to maintain its reputation of good and consistent quality and timely shipments as per programme.
