Tests show that the temperature required to ignited uPVC is in excess of 120°C higher than that of normal wood frames. (385°C for uPVC and 260°C for wood). The limited burning and ignition of uPVC is confirmed in a multitude of standard fire tests under many varying conditions. Weather resistance uPVC is the ideal frame material due to its resistance to corrosion, fire, water, and sunlight. It has been tested in the harshest of conditions and its composition includes ultra-violet components, which reflect the sunlight and resist damage. The frames are designed to be water tight when tested to Australian Standards, but test results show that most of our window types perform well above the minimum standard. uPVC has good acid and alkali resistance as well as excellent vapour barrier properties and excellent UV resistance making for a long-lasting, great-looking addition to your home.
